FAQ’s

Below are some of the most common questions associated with our Capital Campaign. Please click the drop down arrow to read the full answer to each question.

Why Resurrectio?

Resurrectio Ad Vitam Novam means Resurrection to new life. This references Romans 6:4 and carries deep meaning related to our patronage, harkening back to St. Stanislaus raising a man named Peter from the dead and also offering a reminder of how the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter brought our St. Stanislaus parish back to new life in recent history. As we contemplate our call to die and rise with Christ, let us empty ourselves for the sake of bringing Him glory.

What about campaign administration costs?

We project that the administration costs for running the campaign will be around 1-2% of the total budget. We also received a $25,000 grant to help cover these expenses.

What is the role of the diocese?

The diocese is aware of and in full support of this project. This is very positive, as it shows the bishop is investing in our parish, which is the only Latin Mass parish on this end of the diocese.

Will the parish go into debt?

The parish will not spend money that has not been committed. We do have the opportunity to receive a loan from the diocese to assist with cash flow for the project, but this will only cover funds that have already been committed to the campaign.

How does this campaign impact my monthly tithe?

The parish still needs to cover its operating expenses throughout the duration of the campaign. We are asking all parishioners to consider a gift to this capital campaign over and above their regular contribution.

How much should I give? … By when do I need to fulfill my commitment?

We invite you to envision that our ambitious goals for the campaign call everyone to prayerfully discern the extent of their contribution. All commitments are made with the understanding that they will be fulfilled by May 7, 2028 (three years after launch).

How will fiscal transparency/accountability be handled?

As the campaign moves forward, we will provide transparency through updates on our website as well as bulletin updates. There are several other checks and balances in place with the diocese and some through the grants we were awarded as well.

Who will do the work for the campaign?

The parish Finance Council and Building and Maintenance Committee selected Alliance Architects, Inc. to lead the project and Raffin Construction Company as general contractor. They were selected based on their expertise and experience with other similar church projects and their ability to complete the project in a timely manner and in phases.

When will work begin?

Plans and drawings are already complete, and our general contractor is waiting on us. Work can begin on each of the phases when the funds to complete that phase have been committed.

What’s happening to the green carpet?

In phase three, the current green carpet will be removed and replaced. The space up the main aisle will be designed with ceramic tile. Under the pews will be a simplified, more durable material. Replacing the carpet is not only aesthetically more pleasing but also practical as it enhances our Gregorian chant and Polyphonic music.

How will Mass be impacted during construction?

The offering of Mass and the Sacraments will not be interrupted. Projects will be sequenced such that the church will not experience less than 75% capacity at any point.

How can I see the progress?

This is the exciting part! You will start to see overall progress as the project gets underway. Pictures will be shared on a special section of the campaign website. You may also contact the pastor if you are interested in an up-close look at a particular aspect of the renovation.

What happens when we are done?

We’ll celebrate! We are eager to make use of our new spaces to aid our worship and devotion and strengthen our community. We look forward to bringing the parish together to give thanks.
